Case Study: Crafting Elegance for Rosin Fine Wines and Spirits Of Brasil’s 21-Year-Old Cachaça Launch

At Showcase Creative, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond to ensure our clients receive packaging that surpasses expectations. Recently, we collaborated with Rosin Fine Wines, the exclusive supplier of Spirits Of Brasil to the UK market, for the launch of their 21-Year-Old Cachaça.

Client Brief:

Rosin Fine Wines and Spirits Of Brasil approached us with a vision for packaging that would match the exceptional nature of their 21-Year-Old Cachaça. They sought not only a practical solution but an artistic expression that would captivate their audience.

Creative Involvement:

Drawing inspiration from the unique silhouette of the bottle, evocative of a sword, our creative minds envisioned a design concept mirroring the iconic imagery of a sword in a stone.

We suggested the concept to the clients and they enthusiastically embraced the idea, keen to review visuals and explore stock options, specifically focusing on the inner rock and outer copper elements, ensuring a seamless match with the distinctive bottle neck.

Our talented Packaging Developer, Dom Rushton created visuals of the concept, offering the client a preview of the packaging's construction. This allowed them to assess and approve the design before progressing further. The initial visual is presented below.

Materials Selection:

We meticulously selected materials to achieve the desired aesthetic. The Corvon Rock from Winter & Company (a paper that feels like real stone) was chosen for the rock and inside of the packaging. While Peregrina Majestic Casino Gold from G.F Smith, a paper that catches the light resulting in a beautiful shimmer, was chosen for the outer packaging to match the rose gold detail on the spirit bottle.

Approval Process:

After the visual of the initial idea and our selected materials had been approved, we produced a plain mock-up with the stone for approval before progressing with the packaging artwork. We also agreed that it would be an excellent feature to be able to remove the bottle from the box, leaving it in the detachable rock base. This way, the distinctive bottle could be elegantly showcased on a side unit or drinks cabinet.

Artwork and Finishing Touches:

Collaborating closely with Rosin Fine Wines and Spirits Of Brasil, we designed the outer box artwork, incorporating a refined black foiled embossed logo. The minimalist approach allowed the product to shine, showcasing our commitment to creating packaging that not only protects but enhances the brand's image.

Dom also produced a visual of the packaging incorporating the artwork, providing the client with an accurate preview of the final product before granting approval for production to commence.

Delivery and Client Satisfaction:

The completed boxes were securely delivered in a bespoke outer mailer carton. Upon receipt, the client expressed overwhelming satisfaction, describing the final product as nothing short of “amazing."

Conclusion:

The success of our collaboration with Rosin Fine Wines and Spirits Of Brasil is a testament to Showcase Creative's unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional packaging. From the initial idea to the final delivery, our team's involvement and dedication to create the perfect packaging are evident.
